ABSTRACT

Microbial Engineering is a practical and applied course, it is therefore an indispensable part of teaching to let the students practice in the production line of an enterprise. However, lack of internship resources has always been a bottleneck hampering the high-level internship training during teaching the Microbial Engineering course. A virtual production line developed based on information technology enables students to learn the theoretical knowledge of the complex production system. Moreover, it enables students to perform complex virtual operations, thereby improving students' practicing and innovation abilities. In order to let the virtual simulation experiments project play a great role in undergraduate teaching, this article summarizes the progress, characteristics, and value of the virtual simulation experiments for Microbial Engineering. In addition, the main challenges that limit its shared application are also discussed, with potential solutions prospected.

ABSTRACT

A extensão constitui-se em parte indissociável das atividades universitárias e elo fundamental da interface da academia com a comunidade. A participação da universidade na assistência à saúde da comunidade talvez represente uma das faces mais visíveis e, ao mesmo tempo, sensíveis da extensão universitária. A atuação da Universidade de São Paulo (USP) no Centro Médico Social Comunitário "Vila Lobato" (CMSC "Vila Lobato") tem se constituído por uma experiência exitosa de meio século junto à comunidade servida por esta unidade básica de saúde de Ribeirão Preto. Alunos de graduação do curso de medicina e de nutrição e metabolismo da Faculdade de Medicina de Ribeirão Preto-USP (FMRP-USP) e, também, médicos residentes do Hospital das Clínicas da FMRP-USP têm prestado assistência à saúde à população local. Alunos de graduação de outras unidades do Campus de Ribeirão Preto da USP (odontologia, enfermagem e psicologia) também atuam no CMSC "Vila Lobato". Inúmeros projetos de pesquisa na área da saúde foram e continuam sendo desenvolvidos na unidade, beneficiando a comunidade. A experiência de meio século da USP junto ao CMSC "Vila Lobato" constitui-se por modelo bem-sucedido de extensão universitária, devendo não somente ser reconhecido de forma genuína no meio acadêmico, mas também estimulada. The university extension program is inseparable from the university activities and also an essential connection between the academia and the community. The participation of the university in health care to the community may represent one of the most visible and at the same time sensitive aspects of university extension. The work of the University of São Paulo (USP) at the Community Social Medical Center "Vila Lobato" (CSMC "Vila Lobato") has been a successful experience of half a century in the community assisted by this primary health care unit of Ribeirão Preto. Undergraduate students of both Medicine and Nutrition and Metabolism courses from Ribeirão Preto Medical School-USP (RPMS-USP) and also resident physicians from the General Hospital of RPMS-USP have provided health care to the local population. Undergraduate students from other schools from USP at Ribeirão Preto (dentistry, nursing, and psychology) have also worked at the CSMC "Vila Lobato". Several research projects on health were carried out, and many others have been developed in the unit, benefiting the community. This experience of half a century of USP with the CSMC "Vila Lobato" is a successful model of university extension, and it should be recognized genuinely in the academic institutions and also stimulated. ABSTRACT

Clinical medicine is a practical, highly skilled natural science. Solid clinical skills are the cornerstone of medical students' growth and development. According to the change of medical education environment, the tension of doctor-patient relationship and the lack of practical ability, we build a set allround , systematic clinical practice teaching system based on practice curriculum teaching , centralized practice teaching, social practice teaching, practice skills assessment and practice skills competition. The research and practice of the system not only promotes teachers' and student's emphasis on the training of clinical practical skills but also improves student's clinical practice skills, strengthen teachers' clinical skills teaching ability, and boost the construction of clinical skills experimental center.

The teaching of geriatrics requires the combination of basic medicine,clinical medicine,nursing,rehabilitation medicine and pharmacy,and the intersection of medical science and humanities.In order to meet the problems of coping with much disease coexistance in geriatrics,poor efficacy,long course of disease,slow recovery and adverse drug reactions,the article puts forward the combination of blackboard and multimedia,the combination of teacher teaching and student lectures,the combination of PBL and CBL,and the combination of theoretical knowledge and clinical practice.It also puts forward carrying out reforms from such measures as the classroom teaching,teaching rounds,case discussion,literature reading,academic research,humanistic influence,going to community pension center for social practice and so on,to improve the quality of gerontology teaching.

En la Facultad de Ciencias Médicas de la UNA no contamos con un plan de desarrollo de la docencia, ni con un perfil docente que oriente la formación del médico en el ámbito de la docencia, y a la evaluación del desempeño docente. Se pretende que este trabajo elabore un documento que delinee el perfil genérico del docente de la FCM-UNA, contextualizado global y localmente, como base para generar las políticas y estrategias de un plan de desarrollo docente, que sirva como guía del itinerario formativo del docente médico y que además siente las bases para la evaluación y promoción de la carrera docente en nuestra facultad. Consideramos que este estudio, con el establecimiento del perfil del docente médico de la FCM-UNA, sentará las bases para diseñar, impulsar y gestionar un plan de desarrollo de la docencia que contemple la implementación, fortalecimiento y acompañamiento de la carrera docente, además de la evaluación y el aseguramiento de la calidad de la educación médica en nuestra facultad. Generará nuevos conocimientos pertinentes en el área de la docencia que den cuenta de la familia de problemas a las cuales nos enfrentemos y contribuya a propiciar espacios de reflexión sobre la docencia médica, y además se constituya en un modelo de análisis de la docencia en otros escenarios universitarios a nivel regional. Establecerá las bases para impulsar una formación docente que garantice la implementación de nuevo curriculum integrado y basado en competencias. Impulsará un marco normativo que motive y jerarquice la función docente, mediante el establecimiento de las condiciones necesarias para el desarrollo de la docencia en nuestro medio.


In the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the UNA we do not have neither a teaching development plan nor a teacher profile to guide the training of doctors in the field of teaching and teacher evaluation. This paper is intended to prepare a document outlining the generic profile of teachers of the FCM-UNA, globally and locally contextualized, as the basis for generating policies and strategies for a teacher development plan, to serve as a guide to the teacher training itinerary and also providing the basis for the evaluation and promotion of the teaching profession in our faculty. We believe that this study, with the establishment of the medical teacher profile of the FCM-UNA, will lay the foundation to design, promote and manage a development plan that includes teaching implementation, strengthening and support of the teaching profession, in addition to evaluation and quality assurance of medical education in our faculty. It will generate relevant new knowledge in the area of teaching that takes into account the group of problems which we face, and it will help to promote opportunities for reflection on medical education, and I will also constitute a model of analysis of teaching in other university scenes from the region. It will set the basis for boosting teacher training to ensure the implementation of new integrated and competency-based curriculum. It will promote a regulatory framework that will encourage and rank the teaching, by establishing the necessary conditions for development of teaching in our conditions.

Cartoons were used in teaching of medical decision-making analysis course to analyze and reveal the connotations in different decision-making models according the difficulties of students in understanding the teaching decision-making models.The cartoons could effectively improve the understanding of abstract analysis model and the meaning of teaching analysis model in students because they could directly show the iterative and optimizing computation process in decision-making analysis, thus laying a solid foundation for the accurate analysis and ra-tional explanation of the results.Teachers should make full use of the visual cognition potential of students, and fo-cus their attention on the knowledge transmission and information exchange between teachers and students when they design the cartoons in order to improve the classroom teaching effect of teaching decision-making model.

More than 40 institutions have set up the specialty of medical law in order to train inter-disciplinary talents of medical law.Many scholars undertook extensive research aiming at strengthening and developing this new specialty,but many problems still existed in its teaching and the quality of the graduates was been questioned.Through in-depth analysis of the existing research,we pointed out three problems of the current research:being subjective and lacking data support; confining to the ivory tower and lacking contact with the social; limiting to scholars and teachers and lacking retrospective thinking and critique from postgraduates.

The college students innovative test project,which advocates student-centered teaching pattern focusing on questions and subjects is an important component of the project on undergraduate teaching quality and teaching reform in medical college of Shanghai Jiao Tong university.The innovative test project has effectively fostered the innovative spirits,practical abilities,scientific attitudes and learning initiatives of the college students after being implementing for more than four years.Besides,it has changed the teaching philosophy of teachers and created a favorable atmosphere of innovative practice.Several problems have emerged during the implementation of the project including broad topics,limited sample size and incorrect motives for doing tests.Exclusive mechanism aiming at the long-term effect of the project should be established, the concept of the project should be promoted and the communication platform should be built in order to consummate this project.
